International Bach Festival Canarias

An added attraction for those visiting the city during Semana Santa is the International Bach Festival, which each year brings together musicians from the Orquesta Filarmónica de Gran Canaria and the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, alongside highly talented young performers, various choirs and renowned international soloists.

The Auditorio Alfredo Kraus is the main venue for a programme that takes Johann Sebastian Bach as its starting point, ranging from historically informed performances to more modern and contemporary approaches to the music of Bach and his contemporaries.
