Philharmonic Society Season

The Philharmonic Society offers a regular concert programme, with the Assembly Hall of the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria as one of its main venues.

Founded in 1845, it was, together with El Museo Canario and the Gabinete Literario, one of the fundamental pillars in promoting the cultural life of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria in the mid-19th century. It is the oldest music society in Spain and the origin of what is today the Orquesta Filarmónica de Gran Canaria.
