Néstor Martín Fernández de la Torre was born in 1887 in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and became one of the greatest artists who followed the modernist symbolism style.

The Museum, dedicated to Néstor's work, is a pinacoteque that keeps and shows to the public the largest part of this Grancanarian artist. This museum is located inside the architectural site of Pueblo Canario, in the borough of Ciudad Jardín, made by buildings that resembles the traditional Canary architecture. This complex, at the doors of one of the green areas of the city, Doramas Park, was built following the blueprints made by Nestor's brother, the architect Miguel Martín-Fernández de la Torre.

The building presents eleven exhibition halls that keep the permanent collection and also the temporary exhibitions, as well as a documentaion centre, a shop and an educational department.

Opening Times: Tuesday to Saturday de 10.00am a 8.00pm. Sundays 10.30h to 14.30h.

NOTICE: Due to refurbishing works, the museum will be closed from Monday 11th of December 2017, and a representative part of the exhibition (Poema del Mar, Poema de la Tierra, and a selection of pieces that resemble the creative richness of Néstor Martín-Fernández de la Torre) will be temporarily exhibited in Castillo de Mata
Exceptionally, the Museo Néstor will open its doors on December 15th to host the live concert of Khufu-Anch.
