The Real Club Victoria, that keeps its site in the area of La Puntilla, Las Canteras Beach, originally was a football club founded by Pepe Gonçalves in 1910. On February 5th, 1923, being D. Claudio de la Torre the President of the Club, H.M. the King Alfonso XIII accepted the nomination of President of Honour of the Club. By a Royal Amendment, the title of Royal Club was awarded, hence the crown that boasts on its coat of arms. Moreover, on MArch 14th, 1973, H.M. the King Juan Carlos I (then Prince of Asturias) accepts the Presidency of Honour of this Royal Club.
Thourghout its existence, the Real Club Victoria has always developed many activities related to the sea on Las Canteras Beach. Today, it has all the technical equipment and facilities, as well as the staff to practise nautical sports with a high standard of safety, offering a sailing school and activities related to scuba diving.
