Original 0-mile and starting point of the water supply network of the island, the Plaza del Espíritu Santo homes the small stone domed fountain outlined by Ponce de León, one of the few covered fountains in Hispanic architecture. This crossroad, on the left side of the Town Hall, has a dragon tree and an araucaria, showcasing the twinning between the Canaries and America.

The square, next to the hermitage dated back in the seventeenth century and the manor houses around, stand as one of the most enchanting spots of this noble area of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. Its surrounding area has served as stage both for many theatrical plays and the encounter of The Holy Christ of the Good Cause at the Via Crucis of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria Holy Week.
