The City of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria offers a wide range of playgrounds for children with more than a hundred parks and gardens throughout the city.
The obvious tendency of the local citicens is to take their children to the nearest playground to their homes, in its borough, where children meet and relate themselves through playing games, around the park, square or sports area.

Parque de San Telmo
A large wooden pitrate ship dominates over this playground, just behind the Hermitage of San Telmo.
Parque Doramas
Fountains, green areas, trees, flowers, a pond with colourful koi-fishes and plants surrounds this open space in the middle of Ciudad Jardín. A café, stands and a playground are the joy of children and their families.
Parque Romano
One of the largest playgrounds of the city and also the meeting point for runners and climbers since the whole lap of the park is just 1km and a climbing wall is also available. Next to the sand-floored playground there is a café.
