A road that runs through the vineyards of Tafira Alta will take you to the Viewpoint of Bandama Peak. From there, you will see a panoramic view of the municipality of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, the volcanic caldera of Bandama, and a wide view of the northeaster side of the Gran Canaria island. Besides, the viewpoint counts with a Tourist Information Point.

Both, the Peak and the Caldera of Bandama are two natural elements of great singularity and scientific interest. The volcanic cone is also a highlight of the landscape, easily visible from far away and with a magnificient panoramic view from its 569m-high peak. the caldera presents a perfect structure, making it one of the most beautiful in the Canaries. Besides, inside the Caldera, some engravings, made by the ancient inhabitants of the island, exist.

Notice: The road that ascends to the Pico de Bandama is cut off at the height of the old restaurant La Caldera due to the risk of landslides. From that point, you can only ascend on foot.
