El Patronato de Turismo de Gran Canaria, el Ayuntamiento de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria y la Autoridad Portuaria de Las Palmas, han abierto hoy, martes 4 de noviembre, en el Muelle Deportivo de la capital, la oficina de información turística para atender a las tripulaciones de las 242 embarcaciones que participan en la 29ª edición de la ARC (Atlantic Rally for Cruisers), la mayor regata transoceánica de Europa organizada por World Cruising Club y en la 2ª edición de la ARC +.
El Punto de Información Turística se encuentra instalado en el Muelle Deportivo de la capital grancanaria, frente a la plataforma donde se ubican las oficinas de la ARC, y permanecerá abierto hasta el domingo 23 de noviembre, de lunes a viernes, de 9:00 a 14:00 horas y de 15:00 a 18:00 horas, y los sábados y domingos, de 9:00 a 14:00horas, para ofrecer todo tipo de información sobre la ciudad y la Isla (guías, mapas, horarios, visitas guiadas, agenda cultural) a los participantes en este evento náutico de gran repercusión internacional.
La 29ª edición de la ARC y la 2ª edición de la ARC + cuentan con unas 242 embarcaciones de 35 países que permanecerán en el Muelle Deportivo de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria para zarpar el próximo domingo 23 de noviembre rumbo a la isla caribeña de Santa Lucía, una travesía de 2.700 millas náuticas que se ha convertido ya en una prueba de referencia dentro del circuito mundial. Antes, este domingo 9 de noviembre partirán los veleros inscritos en la ARC +, con escala en Cabo Verde.
Para esta edición, el Patronato de Turismo, junto al Ayuntamiento de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria y la Autoridad Portuaria de Las Palmas ha organizado un programa de actividades abierto a todos los ciudadanos que quieran acercarse durante estos días a la marina de la capital grancanaria para disfrutar de este evento.
The Tourist Board of Gran Canaria, the Town Hall of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and the Port Authority of Las Palmas have opened today, Tuesday 4th November, at the City Marina, the tourist information office to attend the crews of the 242 boats participating in the 29th edition of the ARC (Atlantic Rally for Cruisers), the world's biggest transoceanic regatta, organised by World Cruising Club, and also the ones participating in the 2nd ARC +. The Tourist Information Point is already installed at the City Marina of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, right in front of the ARC HeadQuarter's plattform, and will remain open until Sunday the 23rd of November, from Monday to Friday, from 9am and 2pm and from 3pm to 6pm; and on Saturdays and Sundays from 9am to 2pm, to offer the participating crews of this internationally renowned event any kind of information of the islands and its capital city (guides, maps, timetables, guided visits, cultural schedule, etc.)
The 29th edition of the ARC and the 2nd edition of the ARC+ have around 242 participating boats of 35 countries and they will remain berthed at the City Marina of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria to set sail next Sunday the 23rd en route to the caribbean island of Saint Lucia, a 2700 nautial mile oceanic crossing that has become a reference in the world sailing circuit. Next Sunday the 9th of November, the participant boats of the ARC+ will set sail with a stop at Cape Verdes.
For this edition, the Tourist Board of Gran Canaria, along with the Town Hall of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and the Port Authority of Las Palmas have organised a schedule of activities for all, crews and locals who wish to share these days at the City Marina of the Grancanarian Capital to enjoy this event.
