El Ayuntamiento de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria y el Patronato de Turismo de Gran Canaria han abierto en el Muelle Deportivo de la capital, una oficina de información turística para atender a las tripulaciones de las 228 embarcaciones, que participan en la 28 edición de la ARC (Atlantic Rally for Cruisers), la mayor regata transoceánica de Europa organizada por World Cruising Club, y los 45 veleros, de la Primera ARC +.
Instalado en el Muelle Deportivo de la capital grancanaria, frente a la plataforma donde se ubican las oficinas de la ARC, el Punto de Información Turística, permanecerá abierto hasta el domingo 24 de noviembre, de lunes a sábado, de 9:00 a 14:00 horas y de 15:00 a 18:00 horas, y los domingos de 9:00 a 14:00horas, para ofrecer todo tipo de información sobre la ciudad y la Isla (guías, mapas, horarios, visitas guiadas, agenda cultural) a los participantes en este evento náutico de gran repercusión internacional.
La 28 edición de la ARC cuenta con 228 embarcaciones de 30 países que permanecerán en el muelle deportivo de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria para zarpar el próximo domingo 24 de noviembre rumbo a la isla caribeña de Santa Lucía, una travesía de 2.700 millas náuticas que se ha convertido ya en una prueba de referencia dentro del circuito mundial.
Para esta edición, el Patronato de Turismo, junto al Ayuntamiento de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, la Autoridad Portuaria de Las Palmas y la Asociación de Empresarios del Muelle Deportivo, Marina LPA, ha organizado un programa de actividades abierto a todos los ciudadanos que quieran acercarse durante estos días a la marina de la capital grancanaria para disfrutar de este evento. La Asociación de Empresarios Marina LPA ha previsto una ruta gastronómica de tapas marineras todos los jueves del mes de noviembre y la celebración de un mercadillo en el Muelle Deportivo, los sábados.

The City of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and the Tourist Board of Gran Canaria opened a tourist information office at the City Sports Marina to look after the crews of the 228 participant boats of the 28th ARC (Atlantic Rally for Cruisers), the largest transoceanic crossing in Europe, organised by the World Cruising Club, and the 45 boats of the first ARC+ regatta.
The Tourist Information Office, installed at the City Marina, just in front of the ARC offices, will be open daily, from Mondays to Saturdays from 9am to 2pm and from 3pm to 6pm, and on Sundays from 9am to 2 pm, offering all kinds of information of the city and the island (guides, maps, timetables, guided visits, cultural agenda) to every participant crews of this internationally acclaimed nautical event.
The 28th edition of the ARC has 228 entrant boats from 30 different countries, they will be moored at the City Marina of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria to set sail on Sunday the 24th of November heading to the Caribbean island of Saint Lucia, covering 2700 nautical miles across the Atlantic Ocean, making of this regatta a true reference in the sailing world.
For this edition, the Tourist Board and the City of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, the Port Authority and the Entrepreneurs Association of the Sports Marina, Marina LPA, have organised a series of events and activities open to every citizen who may get closet o the marina these days to get to enjoy this event. The Entrepreneurs Association Marina LPA has foreseen a gastro-route of marine tapas (“titbits”) every Thursday of November and the display of a flea market at the City Marina every Saturday.
