Las Palmas de Gran Canaria recibe mañana, miércoles 15 de enero y el próximo viernes 17, a los pasajeros del crucero Costa Classica, que tiene previsto realizar siete escalas hasta el próximo mes de marzo en el Puerto de La Luz y Las Palmas, en su travesía por Canarias, Marruecos y Madeira, con más de 1.600 pasajeros a bordo.
La capital grancanaria vivirá otra semana especial con la llegada de este buque al que se sumarán, el sábado 18, los cruceros AIDAstella, el Thomson Celebration y el MSC Armonía. Por otro lado, el domingo 19 atracarán en el Muelle Santa Catalina el AIDAblu y el Main Schiff 1.
El Ayuntamiento de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria y la Autoridad Portuaria reforzarán los servicios de seguridad, atención e información turística para atender a los más de 10.000 turistas de cruceros que podrán visitar la ciudad antes de continuar su viaje. El Ayuntamiento de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria animará a los turistas a desarrollar experiencias de viaje de carácter urbano como compras, gastronomía e historia, complementadas con actividades ligadas al mar, la playa y los deportes náuticos.
El servicio de información se complementa con el dispositivo de seguridad ciudadana con presencia de la Policía Local y Policía Nacional en las zonas de mayor tránsito de visitantes, especialmente los barrios de Triana y Vegueta, la Playa de Las Canteras y las principales zonas comerciales de la ciudad, con el objetivo de apostar por la prevención y asesoramiento en seguridad ciudadana a los turistas.
El área de Turismo intensificará, como es habitual, la promoción de la ciudad con informadores a pie de muelle en segways con el objeto de orientar a los pasajeros y facilitarles su visita en la capital grancanaria.

The Town Hall of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria will encourage visitors to enjoy urban travel experiences like shopping, gastronomy and history, complemented with activities related to the sea, the beach and nautical water sports.
The information service will be supported by citizen security display, with the presence of the Local Police and National Police on the main visitor areas, specially the boroughs of Triana, Vegueta, Las Canteras Beach, and the main shopping areas in town, taking care of prevention and advising tourists in security issues.
The Council of Tourism will strengthen the promotion of the city with agents on-site using Segways on the dock to give tourists advise and to make their visit to the Grancanarian capital much easier.
