Music comes back again to the Old Town of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. For a third edition in a row, celebrating the Foundational Festivities of the City, organised by the Town Hall, «Music in the heart of Vegueta» will take place on Friday 22nd of June with ten concerts in eight patios and two plazas of the Capital City.
Classical music, jazz, swing, tangos, contemporary… all these different tones will sound between 20:30 (8.30pm) being played by Orquesta del Atlántico, Yul Ballesteros, Coro Ulrika, Cuarteto Corda, Simbeque, Brave Missy and The Cavaliers, soprano Fátima Naranjo and pianist Francisco Sosa, Sonoro Brass Ensemble Act, joung talents of Fábrica La Isleta: Luis Sánchez Guerra, Gabriela Suárez, Carmen Ojeda and poet Acerina Cruz. Programmes for all audiences with three sessions of 20 to 25 minutes each so that many audiences can enjoy the shows. A musical route that will enable the audiences to swap venues between shows enjoying music and the architectural heritage of Vegueta.
Public and privately-owned patios, the ones of Casas Consistoriales (Town Hall), Patio de los Naranjos, Fundación Mapfre Guanarteme, Colegio de Abogados (Law Society), Fundación Juan Negrín, Casa de Colón, Casa de la Iglesia, and calle Balcones 7, as well as two plazas: Plaza de San Agustín and Plaza del Pilar Nuevo will become the venues for the different mucis proposals during the evening and night hours before the celebration of the 540th Anniversary of the City's Foundation.
