The Castle of La Luz, in La Isleta, facing the Port of La Luz and Las Palmas, is considered as the island’s oldest defensive construction. The current fortress was built is the sixteenth century. It was declared National Historic Monument in 1941.
Since March 2015, it hosts Martín Chirino's Foundation of Art and Thought.

Normal visits:

  • Tuesdays to Saturdays: 10am to 7pm (10:00 - 19:00)
  • Sundays and holidays: 10am to 2pm (10:00 - 14:00)
  • Closed on Mondays.
